Natural Ingredients
We carefully select our ingredients to ensure they are of the highest quality, and that they are ethically and responsibly-sourced. The majority of our range is 100% natural however, we do use small amounts of emulsifiers, surfactants and humectants in our Botanical Body Bar, to help bind the ingredients together, provide sufficient lather to aid cleansing and to leave skin feeling moisturised, alongside the natural ingredients used. Aromatherapy and Essential Oils
We use pure essential oils throughout the range for their amazing therapeutic qualities and soothing aromas. Essential oils are extracted from nature, harvested from the leaves, twigs, bark, flowers, roots and fruits of the original source. We choose our suppliers carefully, to ensure that our essential oils are harvested in a responsible way. We like to ensure that not only is the plant carefully harvested and maintained for the future, but that the people working the land and their communities are looked after too.
Ethically-Sourced Ingredients
Our suppliers work directly with the farmers and growers. They believe that fair trade happens at all levels, providing high quality naturals, ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients to the big companies and to the small indie brands too.
Just one example is the Shea butter used in our Botanical Beauty Balm and Botanical Massage Balm. Sourced direct from a women’s cooperative in Ghana, supporting a community of over 2400 people. Our supplier ensures that a fair price is paid and reinvests money back into the community - this includes supporting and providing education facilities, water wells and processing facilities for the raw material. The Shea butter they produce is some of the best in the world and they produce it in its purest form where it is simply roasted, hand kneaded and filtered. It is as unrefined as it can possibly be, meaning it retains all the incredible nutrients of the Shea nuts.
No Animal Testing
We only source ingredients that are certified cruelty-free, by Cruelty Free International, or that meet the standards of CFI, where certification has not been acquired.
Vegan
The majority of products within our range are suitable for vegans, with the exception of our Botanical Beauty Balm, which contains beeswax.
Product Safety
Whilst our products are gentle, we still recommend that a patch test is carried out 24 hours prior to full application of any product. Application is best placed close to the area that you will be using it; for example, if applying to the face, a small amount placed behind the ear should be sufficient.
